Cosmetics Certification ISO 22716

ISO 22716:2007

SO 22716:2007 is a guideline for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in the cosmetics manufacturing industry, and describes the requirements for GMP that companies producing cosmetics must apply. ISO 22716 consists of a total of 17 requirements, and these requirements are based on infrastructure management such as human resources, buildings, and equipment, manufacturing management from raw materials to finished products, process management from departure/deviation/complaints and post-processing, and change, internal audit, and documentation management for system management. Through these requirements, you can secure reliability for the safe manufacturing of cosmetics from customers by complying with legal requirements and at the same time complying with requirements commonly required by the international community.

Standard Compliance Assessment

Internationally recognized product certification is based on the condition that the product being evaluated satisfies the requirements that are specified, pre-adopted, and written in accordance with the rules of the standard and other technical documents. Conformity assessment applied to a specific product, process or service to which the same criteria apply is included in the standard as a certification of conformity. The requirements are reflected in the requirements of a specific part and are determined to respect the standard under certain conditions. That is, to follow the standard under conditions that are documented and established in a specific way.

Legal Requirements

Placing a product on the market involves many administrative responsibilities on the part of manufacturers and importers. Legal regulations specify such obligations. Each and every manufacturer is obliged to place on the market only safe products. A safe product is a product that satisfies the requirements of specific legal regulations adopted in European Community law and satisfies specific requirements for product safety or risk reduction during use.

Product classification and basic product requirements

When a product is evaluated, it is classified into specific modules that indicate its complexity with regard to safe use. For products that present a low risk (arising from specific government regulations), the manufacturer can assess the suitability of the product through his own sources. For products that present a high risk, the conformity assessment must be carried out through a notified body.
